The first Fournier immigrant was Guillaume, the son of Gilles and Noëlle Gageut. Guillaume has had the most descendants, so look here first for your family. Coming to Canada from Coulmer, ar. Argentan, Normandie, France, he married Françoise Hébert, daughter of Guillaume and Hélène Desportes, on 20 Nov 1651 at Québec. The next arrival was Jacques, the son of Michel and Michelle Croyer. He married Marguerite Crevier, daughter of Christophe and Jeanne Évard, on 14 May 1657 at Trois-Rivieres, but the marriage was annulled in 1659. He then married Hélène Dufiguier 24 Oct 1663 at Québec.
Nicolas, son of Hugues and Jeanne Huguette, arrived next, in 1664. He married Marie Hubert, daughter of Pierre and Bonne Brio, at Québec on 30 Sep 1670. This page is about 65K, 949 people, last updated December 21, 1997.
Claude, son of Étienne and Michelle Gendray, married Jeanne Renaud in 1681, and they had only one surviving child, a son Jean-Baptiste who married Françoise Bisson.
Pierre, sieur de Belleval, son of Jacques and Ursule Gaucher, was in Canada as early as 1688. He married Marie Ancelin in 1693. This is a tiny file, 2K and 13 people.
